The Battered Passport – A battered passport belongs to a frequent traveler who has spent many a night sleeping on a bench in an airport; someone who roams the worn streets of foreign cities and people-watches on park benches; someone who has images in their memory of mountains and skyscrapers from the other side of the world; someone who can’t find themselves satisfied with home so they keep leaving, but always to return again.
I’m Maureen, a flight attendant living in my home city of Washington, D.C. I love wearing neck scarves, drinking bubble tea, and serving strangers Diet Coke at 35,000 feet.
I started traveling at 18 when I moved to Taiwan for a year. I caught the wanderlust bug and haven’t stopped since. I got my dream job as a flight attendant after returning to the States and I’ve haven’t been able to stay in one place. I love flying, traveling, meeting new people, and experiencing new cultures. My goal is to see as much as this beautiful world can offer, leave my heart in different cities across the globe, try new foods and new languages, and grow along the way. This blog is a culmination of my travels, both for work and for pleasure. Follow along for the fun!
